Israel kills over 550 people including children in Lebanon in one day

Israeli killed 569 people in Lebanon, including children, in a single day during its devastating air raids, forcing thousands to flee their homes in chaos.

As the UN declared that Israel unleashed the “deadliest day in years” in Lebanon on Tuesday, news reports highlighted that the IDF deployed 200 fighter jets and dropped 2,000 munitions, killing hundreds, including 50 children, and injuring over 1,835.

A senior Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Muhammad Qabisi, was also killed in the Israeli airstrikes.

Israel had warned Lebanese civilians to evacuate the areas it planned to bomb within a limited time frame. However, the Euro-Med Monitor reported that civilians were unable to relocate in such a short period.

Amidst unprecedented cross-border violence, Hezbollah retaliated by launching at least 300 rockets from southern Lebanon into northern Israel.

Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in combat since October 8 last year, when the former extended support to Palestinian group Hamas.

The recent surge in hostilities began when Israel detonated pagers and walkie-talkies on September 17, leading to a death toll of 12 and injuring 2800.

Experts warned that Israel aims to turn Lebanon into another Gaza, urging the international community to intervene and de-escalate the conflict before it spirals into a full-scale military confrontation across the Middle East and beyond.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued its assault in Rafah, killing Palestinian civilians, including children, and carrying out mass arrests in West Bank cities.
