Israel kills 9 Palestinians during raid in occupied West Bank

The Israeli army killed at least nine Palestinians and injured 40 others during a deadly military raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank just three days after the truce was implemented in Gaza.
Reuters, quoted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling the action a “large-scale and significant military operation," that was launched a day after US President Trump declared that he was lifting sanctions on ultranationalist Israeli settlers who attacked Palestinian village was announced by Netanyahu as a new offensive against Iranian-backed militants.

Netanyahu further added that Israel was acting “systematically” against the Iranian-backed group, and the operation would be extended to Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the West Bank.
As the operation began, Palestinian security forces withdrew from the refugee camp, while heavy gunfire was heard in the area.

During the Israeli military offesnice in Gaza, over 47,000 Palestinians were killed, according to the Gaza authorities, with half of the casualties being women and children.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least 700,000 Israeli settlers have been relocated to Palestinian land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the terrioties that Israel occupied in 1967.
