Khawaja Asif says Israel cannot afford to mess with nuclear Pakistan

Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said Israel cannot afford to mess with nuclear-armed Pakistan.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Friday, Asif accused Israel of targeting Pakistan indirectly through Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

He alleged that during significant national projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), PTI was preoccupied with organizing sit-ins and protests, distracting from Pakistan's progress.

Asif further claimed that PTI is now attempting to disrupt the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, hinting at a larger conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif urged the public to examine the evidence of these activities and recognize the plot allegedly being orchestrated against the country.

The defence minister framed the situation as a political issue intertwined with foreign agendas, suggesting that PTI's actions align with Israeli interests.

He warned that protests and sit-ins, such as those PTI is planning during the SCO Summit, would lead to law and order problems, alluding to an external agenda aimed at weakening Pakistan.

Asif called for the judiciary, politicians, and the general public to take notice of the situation, linking the destabilization efforts to the involvement of the TTP, Afghanistan, and Israel, with the PTI leader allegedly leading this campaign.

He reiterated that Pakistan's nuclear capability ensures its defense against any direct threat from Israel.
