Mossad makes “fake aid” calls to Palestinians to gather personal information for attacks: report

Palestinian photographer Mahmoud Abu Salma reported that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad is using “fake aid” calls to scam Palestinian women, posing as representatives of humanitarian organisations to gather their personal information for carrying out attacks.

“Aid is a means to kill you, and you do not know. It is our duty to mention that the Israeli army and Mossad are calling citizens, particularly women, but also men,” Mahmoud Abu Salma said in his report.

He revealed that many Palestinians have fallen victim to these deceptive Israeli tactics.

He explained that Israelis tell Palestinians over the phone to go to a specific location to receive an aid package from a charity organisation. However, when they arrive at the address, the Israeli army brutally attacks them.

Abu Salma warned his fellow Palestinians to be vigilant against such deceptive tactics by the occupation forces and not to follow instructions from suspicious calls.

For the past ten months of its war on Gaza, Israel has been targeting innocent civilians in safe zones, school shelters, and residential buildings under the pretext of targeting Hamas.

The Israeli army has blockaded aid to Gaza, leaving Palestinians to suffer from severe food shortages and a lack of clean water inside the enclave.

The United Nations (UN) has warned about Israel’s deliberate policy of starving Palestinians, who are grappling with famine and disease that are taking their lives at a more rapid pace than Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.

“Israel’s ‘starvation campaign’ in Gaza is killing more people than bombs and bullets,” the report said.

The findings of the report highlighted that the destruction of Gaza's food supply chain, agricultural land, ports, and fishing vessels completely cut off all sources of food for Palestinians.

While humanitarian aid is the last and final option for Palestinians, Israel's siege of the enclave is also depriving them of access to it.
