A provocative AI-generated video showing the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a sacred site in Islam, in flames has sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms.

Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in occupied East Jerusalem, holds immense historical and religious significance for Muslims worldwide.

It is considered the third holiest site in Islam after the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) in Medina.

The video, posted by the so-called Zionist Temple Mount Movement, was accompanied by the ominous message: "Coming soon in these days."

The video has been widely denounced as a call to violence and an incitement to destroy the mosque.

This is not the first incident as extremist Israeli settlers, backed by far-right Israeli ministers have been regularly storming the holy site, attacking Muslim worshippers and performing provocative dances and Talmudic prayers and rituals.

On August 13, over 2,200 Israeli settlers, led by Israel's Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, marked the day of the "destruction of the temple" by defying agreements on the status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
