Seema Haider, the Pakistani woman who made headlines for crossing borders to be with her Indian lover, Sachin Meena, has given birth to a baby girl.
The child was born at 4 AM on Tuesday at Krishna Hospital in Greater Noida, with both mother and newborn in good health, confirmed Seema’s lawyer, AP Singh.
“This is a moment of celebration for those who support Seema and Sachin,” Singh stated, adding that the couple has decided to involve the public in naming their daughter.
Social media users are encouraged to suggest a name based on Indian traditions, and the name with the most votes will be chosen.
In 2023, Seema Haider, a mother of four from Sindh, Pakistan, illegally entered India via Nepal to be with Sachin Meena, a Uttar Pradesh resident she met through the online game PUBG.

Leaving behind her first husband, Ghulam Haider, she settled in Greater Noida with Sachin and her children.
The couple faced legal scrutiny for Seema’s illegal entry and were arrested in July 2023, though later released on bail. Seema converted to Hinduism and married Sachin, continuing to fight for her legal stay in India.
Meanwhile, her first husband in Pakistan, Ghulam Haider, has repeatedly appealed for her return, urging the Indian government to deport her, claiming she was misled and that their children should be raised in Pakistan.
