Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced new regulations regarding photography in Masjid al-Haram, aiming to preserve the sanctity and privacy of pilgrims.
The guidelines were posted on the Facebook of the Kingdom's Ministry for sacred journey.
The instructions outlined specific rules for taking pictures within the holy site.
According to the guidelines, visitors are required to stand at a safe distance away from the moving crowd before taking pictures.
Pilgrims are asked to refrain from capturing private moments or sacred rituals without obtaining permission from those involved.
The guidelines also highlighted the importance of respecting fellow pilgrims' privacy, saying visitors should not take pictures of other pilgrims without their consent.
The Ministry urged pilgrims not to spend excessive time taking photos, instead prioritising their prayers and religious activities.
