Priyanka Gandhi takes "Palestine" bag to Indian Parliament

Newly-elected Congress Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made headlines on Monday by bringing a bag to Parliament emblazoned with the word "Palestine," eliciting a strong response from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Attending her first session in Parliament following her recent electoral success in Wayanad, Kerala, Ms. Gandhi has been vocal in her opposition to the actions of the Israeli military in Gaza since the onset of the conflict in October of the previous year.
Fawad Chaudhry also shared Priyanka's picture on his X account to appreciate her courage.
"What else could we expect from a granddaughter of a towering freedom fighter like Jawaharlal Nehru? Priyanka Gandhi has stood tall amidst pigmies, such shame that to date, no Pakistani member of Parliament has demonstrated such courage.#ThankYou," Chaudhry wrote on X.

Earlie in July, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra slammed Benjamin Netanyahu and called on the global community to condemn Israel's "genocidal actions and force them to stop".
She said it was the "moral responsibility" of every right-thinking individual, including Israeli citizens who do not believe in hatred and violence, and every government in the world to condemn the Israeli government".
