Saudi Arabia has fixed specific time slots for voluntary prayers by pilgrims near the Holy Kaaba in Makkah and also restricted the timing for each pilgrim to pause at Hateem.
According to the Saudi Haramain administration, the timings of Nawafil prayers for men in Hajar e Ismail or Hatem will be from 8 am to 11 am and for women from 8 pm to 2 am.
The entry will be through the western gate and the stopover time at Hateem will be 10 minutes.
The administration said that the purpose of fixing the Nawafil prayers timings at Hateem is to control the rush.
It must be noted that Hajar-e-Ismail or Hateem is a part of Bait-U-Allah and many hadiths confirm that praying inside its premises is like praying inside the Kaaba.
