Trump to attend World Cup final on Sunday, White House says

President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, will attend the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain‌ at the New York-New Jersey‌ stadium on Sunday, White House‌ spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a press statement Thursday.

"This will conclude the final game on Sunday‌, and I know the President looks forward to watching," Leavitt said in the press statement.

"It will cap the most-watched, most secure and most successful World Cup ever held in America's history," Leavitt said further that she does not know whether Trump‌ has a favorite in the final but encourages the press to ask him.

"I'm sure he'll have a good response for you," she said. President of the US will also attend a reception organized by the FIFA‌ in Trump Tower‌ in New York City on Friday, Leavitt said further.
