Woman stabs husband in sleep for forgetting her anniversary gift

In a shocking yet bizarre incident, a woman stabbed her husband when he was asleep after the latter forgot to give her an anniversary gift.

Without disclosing the names of the couple, Indian media reported that the 37-year-old man filed a complaint against his 35-year-old wife, accusing her of attempted murder.

According to the complainant, he was half asleep when his wife attacked him with a knife but he was able to fend her off.With the help of neighbors, he was then transported to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical treatment.

The police registered a case against the woman on March 1. During their investigation, it was revealed that the man hadn't bought a gift for his wife on their anniversary due to his grandfather's passing. 

This reportedly angered the woman as it was the first time they hadn't exchanged gifts on their anniversary.
