The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has announced an indefinite strike with petrol stations across the country to remain closed from 12:00 midnight on July 22.

According to the association, talks between petrol pump owners and Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik ended without reaching a conclusion.

In a statement, the association said negotiations over an increase in dealers’ margins and the implementation of daily petroleum price adjustments failed, prompting the decision to continue the nationwide strike until their demands are accepted.

The association has urged petrol pump owners across the country to fully participate in the strike while maintaining unity and ensuring that the protest remains peaceful.

The representatives of petrol pump owners have called on the government to take a “positive and acceptable” decision regarding their demands, warning that the shutdown will continue until their issues are resolved.
