Firing reported at YouTuber Rajab Butt’s House in Lahore: police

Unknown assailants opened fire at the residence of popular YouTuber Rajab Butt. The attackers, riding a motorcycle, fled the scene immediately after the incident.

According to Lahore Police, the shooting took place within the jurisdiction of the Chuhang Police Station, where Rajab Butt’s house is located.

Police officials stated that two unidentified suspects on a motorcycle carried out the shooting before escaping from the area.

Police sources confirmed that no one was present inside the house at the time of the incident. Authorities have begun an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and trace the suspects.

Earlier, a citizen filed a plea against YouTuber Rajab Butt for the registration of an FIR against him for allegedly using derogatory language about companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in one of his vlogs during the Islamic month of Muharram.

The petitioner, Shehzada Adnan, was represented by his legal counsel Mudassar Chaudhry, who argued in the plea that Rajab Butt had made disrespectful remarks against revered religious figures.

The counsel further informed the court that a request had already been submitted to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for the registration of a case against Rajab Butt. However, no FIR has been lodged so far.
