Veteran actress Simi Raheel countered Saima Qureshi’s remarks on women’s earnings by quoting a verse from the Holy Quran. Qureshi had claimed that a woman’s income does not carry the same blessings as money earned by a man.
Saima's comments sparked controversy and drew criticism online, with many criticising her of downplaying women's roles and contributions to their families.
She further stated that women tend to brag when they contribute financially to the household, whereas men, despite being the sole breadwinners, never boast about providing for their loved ones.
Although Qureshi acknowledged and appreciated working women, she maintained that, in her opinion, their earnings do not hold the same blessings as men's.

Her remarks did not sit well with many, prompting Simi Raheel to counter them with a verse from the Holy Quran.
The Sabaat actress took to her Instagram story and shared a verse from Surah An-Nisa, which reads:
"To men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn: But ask God for His bounty. For God has full knowledge of all things."
Simi Raheel further emphasised the importance of reading the Holy Quran, which, she noted, does not discriminate against women’s earnings, rather than relying on assumptions.
