APS attack survivor graduates from Oxford University

A survivor of the deadly Army Public School attack in December 2014 has achieved a remarkable milestone by graduating from prestigious the University of Oxford.
Taking to microblogging platform X, the APS student named Ahmad Nawaz stated, “One of proudest days of my life. This weekend I graduated from Oxford University. This is an honour I had only ever dreamt of growing up. I guess dreams do come true.”
He stated that he pursued his journey with "determination and resilience."
The Pakistan's proud expressed sincere gratitude to his friends and family for their unwavering support throughout his challenging path.
Inspired by his academic achievement, Nawaz is eager to use his education to make a positive impact on the world.
His father Muhammad Nawaz Khan expressed immense pride in his son's achievements and the incredible challenges he had overcome.
"After the APS attack, my entire family was devastated. My father lost his memory. My mother started suffering from heart problems, [and] even my wife was also seriously affected. But I did not give up. I decided to give the best education to my children. The journey from APS attack to Oxford was the most challenging for my son Ahmed Nawaz, he showed remarkable determination and endured it all," he wrote on X.

Nawaz was critically wounded by terrorists in a point-blank shooting at the Army Public School in Peshawar in December 2014.
The attack claimed the lives of at least 141 students and staff members including Nawaz’s brother, with numerous others sustaining injuries.
After receiving initial medical treatment in a Peshawar hospital, Ahmad Nawaz was moved to the United Kingdom for treatment.
He won the elections of the Oxford Union and became president of the renowned debating society in 2022.
