In a disturbing incident, a bus transporting a group of pilgrims to the tomb of Saint Hazrat Lal Shehbaz Qalandar collided with a trailer near Fatuhal Zardari village on Amri Road, Nawab Shah, resulting in the loss of six lives and leaving ten others injured. 

According to police reports, the deceased were from Punjab and were en route to the Urs of Shahbaz Qalandar, a significant religious event that attracts thousands of devotees each year.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the van lost control and struck the trailer.

Following the incident, rescue teams arrived at the scene and rushed the injured passengers and the bodies of the deceased to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.

 Authorities expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and initiated investigations into the cause of the collision.

Rhe 773rd urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Lal Shehbaz Qalandar will be observed on February 19. On the occasion, the Sindh government announced a public holiday. 

The notification had been issued by authorities stating that all government and semi-government offices and educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed on February 19 on the account of Hazrat Lal Shehbaz Qalandar Urs.
