Despite the prediction of rain and thunderstorm in the port city, Karachi is expected to witness another hot day on July 22 (Monday), according to weather analyst Jawad Memon.
“Formation of thunder cells are underway in the outskirt areas of the metropolis, which would cause light and moderate rain in the city,” he said in a post on Facebook.
“The thunder cells are expected to be active from afternoon to 7:00 pm,” Memon added.
However, the hot weather is expected to prevail in Karachi, with the temperature fluctuating between 37°C to 39°C.
A high humidity level would likely lead the feels-like temperature to hover between 46°C to 53°C, as per the alert issued by the weatherman.
According to the Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD), the sea breezes remain suspended in the metropolis until evening.
“Currently, winds are blowing from the northeast direction at the speed of 15 kilometres per hour, with 81 percent humidity level,” the Met office said in its advisory.
However, several parts of the provincial capital will experience light to moderate downpours throughout the day.
