Family attacks polio vaccination team, policemen with shovels in Karachi

A police team in Karachi’s Korangi district has arrested individuals involved in an attack on a polio vaccination team and policemen.

According to the SSP of Korangi, the polio workers were assaulted with spades, resulting in injuries to two polio workers and two police officers.

The attack was carried out by a local family while the polio team was administering vaccines in the area.

The SSP stated that the family had refused to allow the anti-polio drops to be administered to their children.

Six individuals, including four women, have been arrested in connection with the assault on the polio team. 

The arrested suspects are identified as Samina, Mah Jabeen, Amina, Iqra, Imran, and Sufyan.

Prior to this a family in North Nazimabad misbehaved with a polio vaccination team, which was arrested.
