Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab stated that dumpers and water tankers continue to pass through the city because there are no alternative routes available.

He emphasized that if the Northern Bypass is repaired, heavy traffic will no longer enter the city.

Murtaza Wahab further highlighted that the construction of the Northern Bypass would benefit the entire country.

He also suggested that allowing heavy traffic on the Lyari Expressway would ease congestion within the city.

Additionally, he proposed connecting Shahrah-e-Bhutto with Port Qasim to facilitate industrialists and improve logistical efficiency.
