The sit-ins, organised by Majlis Wahadat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) across more than a dozen key thoroughfares in Karachi, continued for seven consecutive days as of Monday. However,  Shahrah-e-Faisal reopened to traffic after demonstrators moved to another location.

Karachi's traffic woes eased slightly early Monday morning when traffic police announced that Sharah-e-Faisal, which had been closed from Natha Khan Bridge and different entrances of Malir, had reopened to traffic after a religious party's protesters vacated the road.

However, the protest has not fully ended, as organisers made it clear that it would not end until the reopening of roads in Parachinar and the provision of essential foods and medicines to the citizens there.

Traffic authorities stated that sit-ins at Numaish Chowrangi and Golimar persisted. Similarly, Power House Chowrangi, University Road, Safari Park, Abul Hasan Asfhani Road, Five Star Chowrangi, and Ahmedabad Road are still closed due to the protest.

Moreover, Surjani Town's KDA flats, Ayesha Manzil, and Ancholi on Shahrah-e-Pakistan remained blocked as of now, as demonstrators were still present there.

Traffic police officials stated that protesters were also staging protests at Gulistan-e-Jauhar's Kamran Chowrangi.

The authorities have already provided alternative routes for commuters to navigate their destinations, and the number of traffic police personnel has also been increased on different routes in the port city.
