The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) has said that majority of the SKMT bank accounts are fully operational with donations being received without any disruption.
The trust issued a statement in the wake of social media posts claimed that its accounts had been frozed.
“The vast majority of our bank accounts are fully operational, and we continue to receive donations without any disruption. A small number of our accounts have had restrictions placed on them, and we are working to have these lifted at the earliest. We expect that these restrictions will be removed soon,” read the statement.
It further added that all medical and treatment services remained unaffected, saying: “We are also pleased to confirm that all patient care and treatment services continue uninterrupted.”
Expressing gratitude for public support, SKMT said: “We remain deeply grateful to our donors, and indeed to all citizens of Pakistan, for their unwavering trust — now more than ever — in our mission to provide free cancer care to more than 75% of our patients, all across Pakistan.”

There are reports that the accounts of Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Namal University have been frozen, which is a very cruel move. If the government, the Prime Minister and the ministers, have any authority, then the accounts of both institutions should be opened immediately.#Pak
