Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Islamabad airport on Saturday and met with passengers to inquire about their concerns firsthand.
During the visit, the minister ordered a strict crackdown on visa agents involved in exploiting travelers, warning that such elements would face “zero tolerance” for playing with people’s futures for financial gain.
Naqvi also took serious notice of a complaint reported by a passenger on 7 November regarding inadequate staffing at immigration counters.
He directed officials to launch an immediate inquiry into the matter, including a review of CCTV footage, to determine the cause of delays and ensure smoother processing.
Visited Islamabad Airport today and met passengers travelling abroad to hear their concerns directly.

Emphasising the government’s commitment to facilitating legitimate travel, the interior minister said that no passenger with genuine and complete documentation should be stopped from flying.
However, he made it clear that individuals attempting to travel on fake or unverified documents would not be allowed to proceed under any circumstance, noting that such attempts harm Pakistan’s international reputation
