Pakistani Cardiologist Dr. Muhammad Ajmal named among world's top five doctors

In a proud moment for Pakistan, internationally renowned cardiologist Dr. Muhammad Ajmal has been named one of the top five doctors in the world by the International Medical Society.
The award will be presented during the Society’s 175th anniversary celebration on May 2, 2025, at the Hancher Auditorium in Los Angeles, USA.
Dr. Ajmal, who hails from Jatoi in Muzaffargarh district, has received global recognition for his exceptional contributions to cardiology, especially his pioneering work in rural healthcare.
His efforts have made complex heart procedures accessible to remote and underprivileged communities that previously lacked even basic cardiac care.
Through his “Great River Health Initiative,” Dr. Ajmal introduced advanced cardiac treatments such as angioplasty and stent placement in rural areas, revolutionizing access to life-saving medical services.
