Chakwal Deputy Commissioner Quratulain Malik took to social media site X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of her recent visit to a government school.
What surprised her during her visit was an invention by students of a government-run school because public sector educational institutions are often criticised for a lack of basic facilities, below-par learning standards, and inability to meet requirements of modern age.
But this government school in Talagang proved otherwise.
Sharing a video on her X account, Malik said, "You may find it hard to believe, but believe me, this is the Government Boys High School in Malakwal, Talagang, where students are working on robot technology."
"I was surprised to see the Path Finder Robot made by the students," she added

DC Malik said that the renovation work at the school has been completed with new playgrounds, modern classrooms, a football court, trained teachers, well-equipped computer and science labs giving the impression of an expensive private school.
But, all these facilities will not only be available here but at every government school of the district and students will not only memorise lessons but will also use modern technology and new inventions to make practical life easier, she maintained.
"It is a dream that is close to realisation, Alhamdulillah," said DC Malik.
