Karachi man hires ex-security guard to kill father over domestic dispute

A man allegedly paid a former security guard to kill his father following a domestic dispute in Karachi, after the father evicted him from the house and business over a financial fraud involving the son's female friend.

The incident was reported in Karachi’s Korangi Zaman Town on February 18, 2025, when the deceased, identified as Mateen Khan, was shot dead near his residence.

The probe into the matter revealed the son was behind the murder. The police said it had initially arrested the deceased son Danish, his wife Toba, one of Danish friends, and Aiman.

Later, police apprehended two more suspects, Muhammad Zareef and Shaheedullah, in connection with the case. A weapon and a snatched motorcycle were recovered from them, but they had no connection with the murder.

According to the police, Mateen ran a TV cable business in the area with his son Danish. 

Problems began when Danish became involved with Aiman and allegedly committed financial misconduct. Upon discovering this, Mateen ousted him from both the family business and the house. Danish then moved in with his in-laws.

After a few days, Danish’s in-laws mediated the dispute and managed to get him reinstated at his father’s house.

Danish later started working in Clifton, where he met a security guard, Siyal who hailed from Bannu.

Siyal left his job and became involved in street crime with prime suspect Danish. 

The suspect confessed to the police that two months ago, he had another falling out with his father, and he could not tolerate his insolence and decided to kill him. 

Danish decided to have his father killed and allegedly paid Siyal Rs300,000 to carry out the murder.
