Pregnant woman shot dead for resisting robbery in Karachi

A pregnant woman was shot and killed by armed robbers in Karachi. The tragic event occurred when the victim allegedly resisted the robbery, according to the police.
The victim’s husband, Irfan, stated that Saima, 25, was pregnant and that he was taking her to the hospital. "Two armed men on a motorcycle approached us and began robbing us at gunpoint.
When victims attempted to resist, they opened fire.

“After taking my wallet, one of them tried to snatch my wife’s purse, but she pushed him, causing him to fall. Subsequently, he opened fire on my wife,” said the victim’s husband.
With tears in his eyes, Irfan told the media that they had three children and were expecting a fourth, but the incident has left their family devastated.
Demanding swift justice, Irfan stated that the suspects managed to escape after the incident, and they remain at large as of now.
Meanwhile, despite the police stating that disciplinary action was being taken against the culprits, they have not been arrested so far.

In a statement, the police said that they, along with the Crime Scene Unit and the technical team, were working to ensure the arrest of the robbers involved in the incident. They will be apprehended soon and brought to justice, the statement added.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least 26 people were killed in shootings by robbers in Karachi during three months of this year.
