Meta-owned WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new feature that allows users to post video status updates up to 90 seconds in length, according to WABetaInfo.
This extended limit, currently available to select beta testers, builds on last year’s update that increased the duration from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
The new feature aims to enhance user experience by enabling longer, uninterrupted video sharing without the need to split content into multiple parts.

This is expected to streamline the process of posting status updates and reduce the need for manual video trimming.
The rollout is being implemented gradually, meaning not all beta testers have access to the update yet.
However, for those who do, the extended limit offers greater flexibility and freedom in expressing personal moments through the app.
WhatsApp has not announced a timeline for the global release of the feature.
