KARACHI: Heavy traffic claims another life in Karachi as the death toll has jumped to 100 in 2025 so far, according to rescue officials.
As per details, a recent accident occurred in Manghopir where a water tanker crushed a motorcyclist to death.
According to rescue officials, the deceased has been identified as Muhammad Daniyal.
This incident brings the total number of fatalities in traffic accidents in Karachi to 100 so far this year, highlighting the growing concern over road safety in the city.

The Sindh government has imposed a daytime ban on dumpers entering Karachi to reduce road accidents and improve traffic flow.
The dumpers will be allowed between 11:00 PM–6:00 AM.
The decision was taken following an emergency meeting led by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Hyder Shah, attended by senior officials, including the Inspector General Sindh Police, Commissioner Karachi, and DIG Traffic.
The meeting addressed concerns over rising road accidents involving heavy vehicles and poor enforcement of traffic laws.
As part of new safety measures, the government has directed that all heavy vehicles and drivers undergo mandatory physical verification to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
