Malir road tragedy: Brother demands justice from govt

The brother of Abdul Qayyum, who along with his pregnant wife were crushed to death in Malir, has called on the government to take decisive action against the tanker mafia.
Speaking to the media, he expressed the family's sorrow and frustration over the growing presence of heavy vehicles in the city, which he blames for contributing to such accidents.
He recounted the heartbreaking moment when he first heard about the incident, which occurred while Abdul Qayyum and his wife were returning home from Kohi Goth.
"Abdul Qayyum had only been married for a year and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his child," he said, highlighting the deep emotional loss his family has suffered. Abdul Qayyum was an employee of the Cantonment Board Malir and lived in Malir Cantt.

The grieving brother is now urging the government to take swift action against the unchecked operations of reckless tankers, particularly during peak traffic hours.
He called for a complete ban on the entry of heavy vehicles into the city during these times, stressing that stricter regulations are needed to prevent further tragedies and safeguard the lives of citizens.
