Online taxi driver Ehsanullah appeared before the judicial commission investigating Mir Raza’s death and recounted the deceased’s final journey.

Ehsanullah said he received Raza’s ride request at around 3:57am and arrived at the pickup point at approximately 4:06am.

The journey began around 4:09am and ended in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 2 at about 4:28am. According to the driver, Raza provided directions during the trip and paid Rs1,000 as the fare.

When the commission asked about Raza’s mood, Ehsanullah said he had not noticed it because he was concentrating on driving.

His response drew laughter in the courtroom. He added that there was little conversation between them as he was eating gutka during the journey.

Before giving his testimony, Ehsanullah told the commission that he had lost his accommodation and work arrangements after becoming involved in the case and was currently staying at a police station.
