Karachi: Four teenage robbers, including a wounded suspect, have been arrested after a police encounter in Karachi, while two others managed to escape, police said on Wednesday.

According to authorities, three of the arrested suspects are 16 years old, while one is 18 years old. Among them, one is an eighth-grade student, and another is in ninth grade.

The suspects attempted a robbery in the Sohrab Goth area. They were in the process of looting two individuals when police intervened.

Upon seeing the police, two accomplices managed to escape.

The arrested suspects confessed that they planned to use the stolen money for Eid shopping. One of them admitted that they also needed fuel for their motorcycle.

The police have launched a search operation to track down the escaped suspects.

Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed across Pakistan on Monday, March 31, 2025, following the completion of 29 days of Ramadan.

According to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, the Shawwal crescent is likely to be visible on the evening of Sunday, March 30, provided weather conditions remain clear.
