The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will distribute free iftar boxes among the fasting spectators during the ICC Champions Trophy matches scheduled to take place at Dubai stadium.

In the spirit of Ramadan, cricket fans will receive special Iftar distribution at the stadium, ensuring that spectators get an uninterrupted tournament experience. The distribution will take place just before Iftar time in all non-hospitality areas.

The holy month of Ramadan is set to commence this weekend, coinciding with the India vs New Zealand Group A match on March 2. 

This fixture will mark the tournament's first match to coincide with Ramadan, a sacred period of fasting, contemplation, and community for Muslims globally.

The ECB's initiative demonstrated its dedication to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity, elevating the match-day experience for spectators of all backgrounds. 

By combining cricket with Ramadan traditions, fans were anticipating a unique and enriching experience that would promote unity and celebration. 

The ECB's decision garnered widespread appreciation from the community, showcasing cricket's ability to bring people together during this significant period.

The tournament's semi-final is scheduled for March 4 at the Dubai stadium, where India, having progressed to the knockout stage, will compete, with all their remaining matches scheduled to take place in the UAE.
