The police team, led by DSP Asad Mahmood Khan, was moving detainees for investigations when unidentified armed militants suddenly opened fire on the vehicle.

In a statement, the spokesperson of Pakistan Railways' Quetta division, Mr. Muhammad Kashif, said that the Jaffar Express, running from Quetta to Peshawar, and the Bolan Mail running to Karachi had been suspended again.

The terrorists arrested are aligned with the proscribed organization BLA’s Commander Bashir group.
