Al-Shifa to Nasser: Israel bombed 35 hospitals during Gaza war

The Government Media Office in Gaza has released a list of 35 hospitals it claims have been targeted or rendered non-operational due to Israeli military action during the ongoing conflict.

According to the statement, these hospitals span across Gaza City, North Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Younis, and Rafah. Facilities named include al-Shifa Medical Complex, al-Ahli Hospital, al-Quds Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital, among others.

In Gaza City, major hospitals reportedly affected include al-Shifa, al-Ahli, al-Quds, and al-Karama. The list also includes smaller facilities such as the International Eye Hospital, St John Eye Hospital, and the Emirati Hospital.

In North Gaza, the Indonesian Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, Beit Hanoon Hospital, and al-Awda Hospital were named. Several pediatric and psychiatric centers were also included, such as Al Rantisi Hospital and Al Nasr Children’s Hospital.

In Central Gaza, the Jaffa Hospital was reported bombed, while in Southern Gaza, Mohammed Yousef el-Najar Hospital in Rafah was said to be put out of service. In Khan Younis, the reported damaged facilities include the Nasser Medical Complex, Dar Essalam Hospital, and al-Amal Hospital.

While Gaza's authorities have attributed these strikes to Israel, the Israeli military has previously stated that some hospitals have been used by Hamas for military operations—claims rejected by Palestinian health officials.

The ongoing war, now in its seventh month, has severely affected Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, which was already under strain due to years of blockade and limited medical supplies.
