The attack coincided with a statement from the World Health Organisation (WHO), which reported that another Israeli airstrike struck one of Gaza’s few remaining functional hospitals, killing a child.
According to the Associated Press, a total of 21 people, including several children, were killed in Israeli strikes on the hospital and other areas on Sunday.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that military operations would escalate if Hamas continued to refuse the release of remaining hostages.
“Gaza will become smaller and more isolated, and more and more of its residents will be forced to evacuate from the fighting zones,” he said, claiming that millions had already fled their homes due to the conflict.

Meanwhile, no humanitarian aid has reached Gaza since the ceasefire was violated by Israel on March 18. Health officials continue to plead for urgent assistance as medical supplies run dangerously low, leaving hospitals overwhelmed with severely wounded patients.
Currently, Israel has displaced thousands of Palestinians, forcing them to leave refugee camps on foot. Many struggle to carry their belongings, while children and the elderly endure the physical toll of walking long distances.
The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that at least 50,944 Palestinians have lost their lives and 116,156 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
