Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, struck with food poisoning, reportedly continued his official responsibilities from his home while recovering, according to Reuters.
Netanyahu, 75, experienced intestinal inflammation and dehydration, after which he was administered intravenous fluids.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said, “In accordance with his doctors' instructions, the prime minister will rest at home for the next three days and will manage state affairs from there.
In 2023, Netanyahu had a pacemaker implanted and later suffered a urinary tract infection, which led to the removal of his prostate.

Earlier, his office clarified that Netanyahu did not attend a scheduled meeting on July 20 due to his illness and was advised to take three days of rest.
Still in the recovery phase, Netanyahu will also miss a court appearance in his ongoing corruption trial scheduled for Monday, July 21.
Notably, Netanyahu is the first sitting Israeli prime minister for whom the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant over alleged war crimes in Gaza, where more than 59,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 27, 2023, in what has been described as a relentless Israeli military onslaught.
