An 18-year-old boy from the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has set a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the hairiest male face in the world.  Lalit Patidar suffers from a rare medical condition called hypertrichosis, also known as "werewolf syndrome," which has been documented in only about 50 people since the Middle Ages.

Lalit Patidar has 201.72 hairs per square centimeter on his face, with more than 95% of his face covered in hair.

"Lalit is one of only around 50 documented cases worldwide since the Middle Ages, making him one in a BILLION," the Guinness World Records website stated.

Growing up, Lalit faced many challenges due to his condition. In his early school years, other children were afraid of him, but over time, they came to understand that he was just like them.

“They were scared of me at first, but once they got to know me, they realized I was no different from them. It’s just my appearance that sets me apart.”

Despite societal perceptions, Lalit embraces his uniqueness with confidence. He even runs a YouTube channel, where he shares moments from his daily life.

Lalit’s record was officially confirmed in Milan, Italy, during an appearance on the "Lo Show dei Record" program. His facial hair density was measured at 201.72 hairs per square centimeter, making him the world’s hairiest male face.

"I am speechless. I don’t know what to say because I’m very happy to get this recognition," Lalit said after receiving the title.

While many people support him, Lalit also faces criticism and unsolicited advice. Some have suggested that he remove his facial hair, but he remains firm in his identity.

"I like how I am, and I don’t want to change my look," he says.

Supported by his family and friends, Lalit dreams of traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.
