Gold price jumps Rs10,000 per tola in Pakistan as global rates surge

Gold prices surged in the local market on Wednesday following a sharp rise in the international market, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of gold increased by Rs10,000 per tola to reach Rs437,936, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs8,573 to Rs375,459.

A day earlier, gold prices had fallen by Rs500 per tola to Rs427,936.

In the international market, gold gained $100 to reach $4,155 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased by Rs273 per tola, reaching Rs6,624.
