Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decrease on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs275,000 per tola, marking a drop of Rs700.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was priced at Rs235,768, down by Rs600, according to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold also saw a decline, priced at Rs216,121 per 10-gram.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market. The price of 24-karat silver was steady at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

In global markets, spot gold traded near $2,632 per ounce, down by $9 or 0.34% from the previous session.

The dip in gold prices was attributed to firming U.S. Treasury yields, with investors focusing on economic data for insights into the Federal Reserve's interest rate trajectory in 2025 after the central bank indicated a slower pace of rate cuts this year.
