Gold prices jump Rs4,600 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices recorded an increase in Pakistan on Tuesday, following an increase in rates in the international bullion market.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs4,600 during the day, taking the new rate to Rs476,362.

The price of 10 grams of gold also witnessed an increase of Rs3,944 and was recorded at Rs408,403, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

A day earlier, on Monday, gold prices had declined by Rs4,400 per tola, settling at Rs471,762.

Internationally, gold prices gained $46 per ounce to reach $4,540, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices also registered an upward trend in the local market, climbing by Rs94 to reach Rs8,153 per tola.
