Bushra is little older, it suits her better: Atiqa Odho on refusing role of Mustafa's mother in KMKT

Veteran actor Atiqa Odho explained why she declined a role as Fahad Mustafa's mother in popular dramas series "Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum." She felt the role was more suitable for Bushra Ansari, given her age.

Atiqa Odho and KMKT's director Badar Mehmood appeared on a private channel's program. Odho expressed disappointment that she was never offered a role in Mehmood's dramas. She revealed, "He always said he would let me know if there would be a ideal character for me."

Recalling the discussion, the director revealed that Fahad Mustafa's mother's role in KMKT was first offered to Atiqa Odho but she refused, so the character was offered to Bushra Ansari.

“Let me tell you one thing, I had approached her for KMKT, but she was too, too busy,” He said.

Responding to Mehmood, Atiqa disclosed the reason behind her refusal to work as Mustafa’s mother and said she believed that the age factor caused her denial. 

“No no, age-wise there is a difference as well,” she said, adding, “I think Busrha is a little older also, so the role suits her better.”

KMKT has become the latest talk-about show in both India and Pakistan, starring, Hania Aamir and Fahad Mustafa, the show revolves around Sharjeena, a couple that deals with social and domestic traumas given by their family.
