PMDC postpones MDCAT 2026 to Sept 20

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday postponed the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 and announced a new date for the examination.

According to the PMDC, the entrance test will now be held on September 20 instead of August 16 following the prime minister's directive. The council issued a formal notification confirming the revised schedule.

PMDC President Professor Rizwan Taj confirmed the rescheduling, saying the decision was taken to ensure the examination is conducted in a more transparent, secure and well-organised manner while also facilitating candidates.

The council said all other terms, regulations and examination arrangements for MDCAT 2026 will remain unchanged.

PMDC also advised candidates not to pay attention to rumours and to rely only on its official website and verified sources for the latest updates.
