Kristin Cabot has resigned from her position as chief HR officer at Astronomer just a week after a video of her and then-CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert went viral.

The tech firm's spokesperson confirmed Cabot’s resignation, saying, “She has resigned.”

Her profile has also been removed from the company’s official "Meet the Team" webpage.

The resignation comes days after Byron also stepped down from his role as CEO. The Astronomer board accepted his resignation after the viral video showing the pair in an affectionate moment at the concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The video, which went viral on social media, captured Cabot and Byron embracing before quickly reacting to the stadium’s "Kiss Cam". Cabot turned away and covered her face, while Byron ducked to avoid being seen.

Their behaviour drew an impromptu comment from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who remarked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Both executives, who are married to other people, were placed on leave shortly after the scandal as the company initiated an internal review.

Astronomer has since appointed co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy as interim CEO while the board continues its search for a permanent replacement.
