Veteran Pakistani actress Asma Abbas expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Indian actress Shefali Jariwala, who passed away at the age of 42 due to cardiac arrest.Health experts have suggested that she may have been taking multiple supplements and cosmetic injections on an empty stomach, which could have suddenly worsened her condition.
In a video statement, Asma reflected on society’s obsession with youth and questioned the dangerous lengths people go to in order to appear younger.
"Why are people so desperate to remain young forever? How is that even possible?" Asma asked, highlighting what she described as an unhealthy societal trend.
Calling Shefali’s passing "very distressing and painful," Asma said, "She was only 42. Such sudden and unexpected deaths are heartbreaking." She extended her heartfelt condolences to Shefali’s family, noting how painful it must be to lose "their young and beautiful daughter."
Asma Abbas claimed that Shefali’s sudden cardiac arrest may have been linked to cosmetic procedures. "I heard she had taken anti-ageing injections," she said, expressing concern about the risks associated with such treatments.

“What is this craze? Please accept ageing, it doesn’t matter,” Asma urged, citing the example of legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi, who also passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest and was rumoured to have undergone cosmetic procedures.
She emphasised that cosmetic surgeries and anti-ageing treatments are "unnatural practices, which ultimately impact your heart and make it weak."
Popularly known as the Kaanta Laga girl, Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 28 at the age of 42. According to an Indian journalist, she suffered a cardiac arrest and was brought to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital at 11:25 PM, where she was pronounced dead.
