Notorious Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has made a demand of INR5 crore from Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to put an end to their long-standing feud.

According to reports, the Bishnoi gang sent a threatening WhatsApp message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, stating that if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the rivalry, he must pay the hefty sum.

The message ominously warned Salman Khan not to take the threat lightly, cautioning that he would meet the same fate as NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, who was recently assassinated by the Bishnoi gang.

The development came amidst increased threats to Bollywood A-lister's life following Siddiqui's murder.

Mumbai police have initiated an investigation and beefed up security around Salman Khan's residence.

This is not the first time the Tere Naam star has received death threats from the Bishnoi gang.

In 2022, a threatening letter was found near his residence, and in March 2023, he allegedly received an email from gang members.

In January 2024, two unidentified men attempted to enter Salman Khan's Panvel farmhouse using fake identities.

The rivalry between Salman Khan and the Bishnoi community dates back to 1998 during the filming of "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in Rajasthan, where the superstar was accused of hunting two rare black deer.

In 2018, a Jodhpur court sentenced Salman Khan to five years in jail in the case, but he was later granted bail.

However, the Bishnoi community has since harboured animosity toward the actor.
