Renowned actor and host Faysal Quraishi recalled religious scholar Aamir Liaquat's distressing final days, sharing that he once broke down on a call, saying, "I am too ashamed to show my face."

Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, faced severe backlash on social media before his death. His third wife, Dania Shah, leaked his private videos online, an incident that allegedly contributed to contributed to his isoaltion and mental anguish. 

During his Ramdan show, Faysal Quraishi shared a heart-wrenching memory of a phone call with Aamir Liaquat, days before his passing. "I repeatedly tried to reach him," he recounted, "but he wouldn't answer, yet I didn't give up."

Faysal Quraishi said he also sent a message in a mutual friend's circle, all were dialing his number but Amir Liaquat wasn't receiving anyone's calls.

Describing the scholar’s anguish in his final days, Quraishi shared, "When he finally answered, we talked for hours, and he cried continuously."

Quoting Aamir Liaquat, Quraishi said, "He told me, 'I am too ashamed to show my face." He added, "Perhaps he had realised something, and I tried to console him, but he couldn’t recover."

Aamir Liaquat, one of Pakistan's most prominent yet controversial TV hosts, passed away at 50 after being found unconscious at his home in Karachi.
