Saba Qamar applauds Atif Aslam for Independence Day performance after father’s death

Renowned actor Saba Qamar has praised singer Atif Aslam for his remarkable professionalism after he performed at an Independence Day concert in Karachi despite the demise of his father just two days earlier.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, Saba expressed empathy for her “friend,” saying she understood the pain he was enduring but admired how he engaged with the crowd, performed with full energy, and never let his grief show.

“I know this pain; I can relate to it because I have lived it too,” she wrote. “Carrying heartbreak on your chest while wearing a smile is one of the hardest things a person can do.”

She commended Atif’s resilience and grace in handling a critical moment in his life, adding, “That kind of courage, depth, and commitment deserves nothing but respect, love, and blessings.”

Atif Aslam’s father, aged 77, passed away from a heart attack on August 12. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the singer bid farewell to his father, calling him his “Iron Man” and writing, “Rest in love, Abu g.”
