The ongoing drama serial Mann Mast Malang, starring Danish Taimoor and emerging actress Sahar Hashmi,  sparked mixed reactions online due to its increasingly intimate scenes. While some fans praised Taimoor and defended the show’s popularity, critics took issue with his on-screen romantic persona.

Mann Mast Malang is penned by Nooran Makhdoom, the acclaimed writer behind Tere Bin, and directed by renowned filmmaker Ali Faizan.

The drama follows the story of two families who become adversaries of Kabir Khan, played by Danish Taimoor. Kabir is shown accidentally killing the mother of Riya Asghar Ali, portrayed by Sahar Hashmi, setting the stage for emotional tension and romantic development between the two characters.

So far, 41 episodes have aired. While the on-screen chemistry between Danish Taimoor and Sahar Hashmi has been well received by many viewers, a growing number of social media users are expressing discomfort over the drama's romantic progression.

Some called the scene "cringeworthy" and overly dramatic, while others defended it by pointing out the hypocrisy of critics who regularly consume similar content in foreign films and series but take issue when it appears in local productions.
