Internet not okay with Atiqa Odho’s ‘wax your chest hair’ remark to Ali Raza

Veteran actress Atiqa Odho, known for her candid reviews of actors and television dramas, recently offered more than just feedback on craft and storyline, she gave personal grooming advice to actor Ali Raza during a televised panel discussion.

Atiqa, along with fellow actresses Marina Khan and Nadia Khan, appeared on a panel show that regularly critiques ongoing TV dramas. The trio often sparks debate due to their blunt and unfiltered remarks.

While reviewing a drama featuring emerging actor Ali Raza, Atiqa offered her usual critique but then shifted focus to his appearance.

She remarked that while he could wear trendy disco-style jackets, she was put off by his visible chest hair and bluntly advised him to get a body wax.

“Do not keep your shirt open to show off your chest hair. I get so put off when I see men with a hairy chest. I can take you to the salon to get your waxing done,” she said, adding, “It’s yuck,” prompting laughter from the other panelists.

However, once the clip went viral on social media, netizens were quick to call out the remark as unnecessary and inappropriate for national television.

Many viewers labeled it a deeply personal comment that crossed the line of professional critique.

“Why can’t they just stick to acting and script? Itna personal hone ki kya need?” one user questioned.

“Wait, what? It’s 2025 and we’re discussing men’s chest hair on national television? Is this really the most pressing conversation?” another critic added.

Several users also defended Ali Raza, asserting that his body and grooming choices are his own and not up for public commentary.
