Faryal Mehmood: 'It's amazing to hear when people say I look like Deepika'

A video circulating on social media from one of Faryal Mehmood’s interviews shows her mentioning that people often compare her to actress Deepika Padukone, a remark that she finds very flattering.

“I really like whenever people resemble me to Deepika,” the ‘Daasi’ actor said.

Faryal expressed her admiration for the ‘Pathan’ actor and revealed that she is a huge fan of her craft. 

The ‘Raqeeb Se’ actor asserted, “It’s just amazing to hear that I am a huge fan of her’s and I think if I look like her…Amazing. What could be better than this?”

Faryal Mehmood is grabbing headlines as she is promoting her later film ‘Wakhri -One of a Kind,' inspired by social media star Qandeel Baloch, who fell victim to honour killing in 2016.

The movie centres on Noor Malik (played by Faryal Mehmood), a schoolteacher and single mother in Lahore. Noor is working to gather funds for a school building in her community. Meanwhile, she befriends Gulshan Majeed, a transgender individual, and regularly participates in social events within the transgender community.

Afterher video goes viral from one such social event, a friend encourages her to leverage the newfound fame to gather funds for the school. However, as she attracts significant attention, it takes a negative turn, ultimately resulting in a tragic outcome.
